We give money...

At the start of 2007, as a business, Virgin Vie At Home set itself a very special challenge - to raise £250,000 for charitable causes by the end of the year. This was an ambitious challenge, but one that everyone employed within in the business, that's Head Office, the Warehouse and Retail Stores, and our 12,000 Consultants in the field really strived to achieve. We are delighted to announc that not only did we achive this target, we really smashed it, raising an incredible £320,000!

All Virgin Vie At Home employees and Consultants are encouraged to support Virgin Unite, the charitable arm that represents all Virgin businesses and their dedicated charities. Virgin Vie At Home Head Office's dedicated charity is CLIC Sargent, whom it has supported for more than three years.

We're delighted that the charitable donations to CLIC Sargent from the sales of our gorgeous Sweet Heart Necklace and Earrings (pictured here) and Pure Shine Angel Touch Lipgloss have made a significant contribution to achieving our huge total.

From fun runs to marathons; cake stands to clothes swaps, and themed Virgin Vie At Home Parties to 30 of our Consultants trekking along the Great Wall of China raising £77,000! - we've pulled out all stops and have taken any excuse to get fundraising.

Because we understand that not everyone wants to get involved in a fundraising event, but would still like to do their bit for charity, we give everyone in the company the opportunity to donate money from their wages every month "big or small" to the charity of their choice.

Our challenge for 2008? To try to raise another £250,000!

We give time...

Time and skills can often be as invaluable as hard cash, so as a business, Virgin Vie At Home entitles all its employees to one Volunteering Day a year to spend their time on a local charitable project. Previously the techies of the company, the IT team, have all left their computers and spent a day revamping the play area and garden of the local school, and the number crunchers in Accounts have dedicated their time to managing a gardening project at the CLIC Haven Centre in Southampton. Many of our 12,000 Consultants in the field also volunteer their own personal time working on local projects closest to their hearts.

When it comes to requests for free products samples for charity, we get lots! But generous we are. As CLIC Sargent is our dedicated Head Office charity we give generously with product samples for any events and will try to support local business with gorgeous boxed raffle prizes, goody bags or items for auction.
